FLU VACCINES HAVE ARRIVED! We will start administering the flu vaccine on Wednesday 14 April. You can now book online or call for your flu vaccine appointment IF you are 65 years or older. Please read the information as per link for more information about the flu vaccine prior to booking please. Please also update your mobile phone details if they have changed. We do have a sufficient supply of flu vaccines so there is no need to rush to book in your appointment. You can also have the zostavax (shingles) vaccine at the same time. This is currently funded until the end of this year.
For those with chronic conditions the start date has been delayed until May 17. The general population will follow after this.

COVID-19 VACCINATION NEWS: if you are 65 yrs old and over, the unofficial advice currently is that you can go to Otara MIT (map) and receive your vaccination there.
From May 10, more than 9,000 people who live in the local area that are aged 65 and over, or Māori and Pacific people over 55 years, will receive an email or text inviting them to book their COVID-19 vaccination. Therefore, patients in these age group who are registered at Howick Health and Medical Centre will soon receive an invite to have their Covid vaccination by text or email directly from the NMF Immunisation Bookings platform.
We will be involved with COVID vaccinations from approximately June this year. We will update any news here.

CURRENT CASES. As per MOH website please have a swab on day 5 and day 12 and self isolate for 14 days. Please call and book for your COVID swab with us. We will make time slots available COVID swabbing. Time slots will be updated on a daily basis.

If you have only mild cold symptoms and would like a swab please call the nurse to arrange this. There is no change for a COVID consult. Additional charges apply if other non COVID issues are discussed.
Results: you will be encouraged to access the patient portal for your results by your doctor so please register by clicking to the right and fill in the patient portal consent form.
