Flu vaccines have now arrived. You can book online now or call us.

Other vaccines that can be opportunistically given at the same time include:

  • the shingles vaccine (funded in your 65th year otherwise cost is $355 per shot -2 are required -this includes the nurse administration fee),

  • the COVID vaccine (if it has been >6 months since your last infection/vaccination),

  • the tetanus vaccine (if > 10 years since your last vaccination - funded in the 45th and 65th year). $72 (includes the nurse administration fee)

  • the pneumonia vaccine (Prevenar13 and Pneumovax23) which is particularly useful for immunocompromised individuals or those with respiratory conditions. Egg allergy is no longer a contraindication.

An allergic reaction to an antibiotic gentamycin is a contraindication to receiving the flu vaccine.
